Position Summary

Flint Cultural Center Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Spanish Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who fosters a love of language learning, builds strong relationships with students and families, and creates an engaging classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Qualifications & Key Responsibilities Required Qualifications
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate World Language (Spanish) endorsement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic.
  • Consistent, reliable attendance.
  • Ability to accept and apply feedback to improve performance.
  • Commitment to the school’s goals, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build a classroom culture where students love learning and enjoy coming to school.
  • Teach Spanish language and culture through engaging, student-centered instruction.

  • Work with Cultural Center educators to support a cohesive, campus-wide culture focused on student success.
  • Support students in developing communication skills, cultural awareness, and global citizenship.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and ethical conduct at all times.
Characteristics of Successful Candidates
  • Highly qualified and certified to teach in the State of Michigan, with appropriate credentials determined by FCCA.
  • Strong record of academic achievement and extracurricular leadership.
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities, staff development, and curriculum planning.
  • Demonstrated high character, professionalism, and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Salary & Benefits

SALARY: FCCA offers a competitive salary and fringe benefit package to employees. Current teaching base salary begins at $50,160 and reaches $78,822 depending on experiences, qualifications, and impact on learning. Additional opportunities for extra compensation is available based on interests and Academy needs.

FCCA offers a comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance package. A cash option is offered for those staff members that qualify for insurance coverage and do not need in the form of a monthly payment.
