Job summary

Marlboro County Schools is seeking a part-time coach for district-wide athletics. The role reports to the Principal and Athletic Director and involves preseason training, game-day guidance, and collaboration with the athletic trainer to ensure safety and proper conduct.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills, with a commitment to sportsmanship and adherence to district rules and eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Training or education programs required by the state of South Carolina and Marlboro County School District.
• Trained in CPR.
• Must possess leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport coaching.
• Trains students throughout the preseason process.
• Attends every game and guides team throughout the game.
• Works with athletic trainer to report injuries and teach safety precautions.
• Collaborate with athletic training staff on rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes.
• Ensure team rules and eligibility are communicated and followed.
• Model good sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct toward opponents, fans, and community.

• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport coaching
• Trains students throughout the preseason process
• Attends every game and guides team throughout the game.
• Works directly with school athletic trainer in reporting injuries, teaching precautions and procedures to ensure staff/student safety and help students prevent injuries.
• Work in cooperation with the athletic training staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes.
• Ensure that team rules and regulations regarding conduct and eligibility of the athletes are clearly communicated and followed.
• Model good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards opposing team, fans, parents, officials, spectators, and community.

REQUIREMENTS:
