Job summary

Ballard CSD is seeking a dedicated Middle School Assistant Wrestling Girls Coach in Huxley, Iowa. The role supports training, game prep, and player development, with a typical schedule of 2–3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, plus occasional evening/weekend commitments during the season.

The ideal candidate will hold an Iowa Coaching Authorization, have youth/middle school coaching experience, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork along with a commitment to student-athlete growth.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Coaching Authorization or ability to obtain it.
• Experience coaching at youth/middle school or high school level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling rules and coaching techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training sessions and team development.
• Scout opponents, analyze game footage, and plan game strategies.
• Provide feedback to players and support coaching staff during events.
• Help with scheduling, equipment, and travel arrangements.
• Maintain open communication with players to foster a positive team environment.
• Represent the team in the community and ensure compliance with school rules.
