Job summary

The Grosse Pointe Public Schools System is seeking a Middle School Girls Volleyball coach for Parcells Middle School under EPED (Extra Pay for Extra Duty).

You will conduct all practices and contests and collaborate with the Athletic Director to schedule games and events. The role requires motivation, instructional differentiation, knowledge of volleyball rules and strategies, and a commitment to ethical conduct and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to motivate middle school students.
• Ability to customize instruction to individual players.
• Understanding of volleyball rules and game strategy.
• Coaching experience preferred; playing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for volleyball and teaching.
• Coaching certification preferred.
• Ability to work with students, staff, parents, administrators and public.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory and statistics.
• Maintain high ethical standards.
• Availability for afternoon/evening/weekend practices and games.
• Perform other duties as assigned by athletic director.
