This role is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as well as up to $5,000 for relocation expenses!
New teachers start at $60,000, with Mastery offering up to $82,000 based on experience and education. Salaries range from $60,000 to $111,000, with growth opportunities as your career progresses.
The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher at Mastery, you will work with your students to foster their development in critical thinking, questioning, critiquing, and understanding the written word. You will play a vital role in addressing the literacy gap in the United States by providing students with a world-class education that prepares them for success beyond high school.
We value your passion for reading and writing and your commitment to high standards for all learners. Ideally, you have familiarity with structured literacy instruction and are eager to teach the foundational skills of strong reading and writing. You and your students will engage with a robust core curriculum aligned to grade-level standards, emphasizing the science of reading, with dedicated time for rigorous reading and writing activities. You should also be prepared to lead intervention courses to support students' unfinished learning, ensuring they meet grade-level and graduation requirements.
At Mastery, we emphasize Continuous Improvement, offering coaching and feedback through assistant principals, central-office coaches, and school-based content teams. Professional development and peer collaboration are integral parts of our staff calendar.
