Job summary

Gila Crossing Community School (District) is seeking a dedicated Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to inspire literacy and critical thinking among students. The ideal candidate holds an Arizona Teaching Certificate with an ELA endorsement, a bachelor’s degree in education, and experience with reading assessments.

You will collaborate with staff, engage families, and implement data-driven instruction to improve outcomes for Native community learners.

Qualifications

IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Arizona Teaching Certificate in approved area/endorsement.
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; preferred.
Must have an ELA endorsement.
Experience with reading assessments and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

Administers and develops subject-specific assessments to gauge competency.
Advises parents/guardians on student progress and improvements.
Instructs students to improve academic success through a defined course of study.
Manages student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
Maintains student records, attendance, and progress documentation.
Plans instruction meeting individual student needs and differences.
Collaborates with staff, families, and community resources to enhance outcomes.
