Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned major sports.
• Has substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continues to examine new theories and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the athletic director and aligns with middle school principals.
• Advises, coordinates, and supports assistant coaches and middle school coaches.
• Instructs athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, and promotes character development.
• Ensures athletic policies are implemented and interprets regulations for staff.
• Schedules practices, tournaments, and events, coordinating facility use.
• Documents physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility.
• Manages equipment budgeting, acquisition, and inventory.
