Description:

Community Consolidated is seeking a Middle School Computer Technology Teacher for Glen Crest Middle School, located at 725 Sheehan Ave., Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

Job Summary:

The Computer Technology teacher is responsible for instructing students in computer science and technology-related subjects. This teacher will implement a dynamic curriculum, fostering an engaging learning environment that encourages students to explore and excel in the field of computer science.

Qualifications:

All applicants for this position are required to meet certification requirements that include a Bachelor’s degree and Illinois certification as a teacher (PEL). Experience with middle school students is preferred; computer science endorsement, industrial technology endorsement, technology specialist endorsement or other such endorsement required.

Salary and Benefits:

All certified staff are placed on a salary schedule according to education and experience as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The starting BA, 1 salary for the 2024-2025 year was $54,947.24 however as we are currently in negotiations, this will likely change. Certified staff experience 12 sick days and 4 personal days of paid time off. All full-time staff have the privilege of partaking in our health and dental insurance programs, these include 90% Board paid health insurance for the employee and 100% Board paid dental insurance for the individual staff member.
