Job summary

Breakthrough Central Texas is seeking a Middle School Student Advising & Program Coordinator to lead academic advising and after-school programs for rising 6th through 9th graders in Austin, Del Valle, and Manor. You will partner with schools, families, and community partners to create a welcoming college-going culture.

Responsibilities include mentoring 45–60 students, tracking progress, coordinating campus-based activities, and supporting summer programs.

Qualifications

• Experience providing high-quality academic advising and mentoring to middle/high school students.
• Ability to design and deliver campus-based programming and summer programs in Austin, Del Valle, and Manor.
• Strong collaboration with families, schools, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Advise 45–60 students with timely notes and data to drive action.
• Build relationships with students' families and schools to support success.
• Lead or participate in college-going program design and evaluation.
• Collaborate with AmeriCorps member and staff to deliver programs.
