Job summary

Breakthrough Central Texas seeks a dedicated Student Advising & Program Coordinator to guide 11th- and 12th-grade students toward postsecondary success through school-based advising and program development. You will design engaging campus programs, supervise AmeriCorps fellows, and collaborate with schools to sustain postsecondary pathways.

Qualifications

• Champion for closing the opportunity gap with a focus on equitable postsecondary access.
• Strong advising skills and capacity to build trusted relationships with students and families.
• Experience coordinating programs, supervising peers, and collaborating with schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality academic advising and mentoring to an average caseload of 50-55 students.
• Develop relationships with students, families, teachers and other stakeholders to support success.
• Meet guardians/families to discuss student progress and postsecondary planning.
• Lead campus-based programs and supervise AmeriCorps fellows and volunteers.
• Coordinate partnerships with teachers, counselors and school leaders to support enrollment.
