Job summary

Lake Ridge Schools is seeking a dedicated track coach for their Middle School program in Gary, Indiana. The coach will lead the total track program, providing guidance on citizenship, skills, and handling player injuries.

Ideal candidates should have previous coaching experience and be responsible for supervising team practices and events, working collaboratively with varsity staff. This role is critical in promoting a successful athletic environment for middle school students.

• Previous Coaching experience preferred.

• Be responsible to the principal for accountability of the total track program.
• Exercise leadership in the teaching of skills, citizenship, character, rules and treatment of injuries.
• Work in harmony with the varsity track staff in promoting the total track program.
• Supervise players on the track team at all times during practices, trips and games.
• Perform any reasonable duties in the track program as may be assigned by the principal, assistant principal or sports director.
