Job summary

McLaughlin Middle School in the Manchester School District seeks a part-time Middle School Boys B basketball coach to lead and supervise the program. This role focuses on promoting sportsmanship and program growth within a school setting.

You will coordinate with the Athletic Director and Principal, manage game schedules, travel logistics, and ensure student eligibility and safety while representing the school on away trips.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and supervising the program.
• Implements district athletic department policies.
• Works with the MSD Athletic Director and Principal.
• Communicating school game schedule.
• Communication of travel for out-of-town trips.
• Verification of student physical examination/Family ID requirements of the high school.
• Remains with students and supervises them while traveling to away competitions.
• Cares for athletes and injured athletes.
• Cares for, maintains and oversees the storage of all equipment and uniforms.
• Maintains a positive staff relationship with other coaches.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the MSD Athletic Director and Principal.
• Communicate with parents to inform them about the program as well as your expectations of them and the players.
• Leads by example
• Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while on trips off school property in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
