Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to provide leadership and instruction to student-athletes. The role involves supervising practices, ensuring student safety, and promoting academic and athletic achievement. Ideal candidates will hold a valid teaching certificate and demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills.
PURPOSE OF JOB: Provide instruction, leadership, and supervision to middle school students participating in the sports program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Must possess a Teachers Certificate, valid Substitute Certificate, or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Be a full- or part-time employee within the District, employed as a teacher or administrator at the school where applying.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, bend, stoop, and lift objects of at least 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
The district lost accreditation in 2011 but regained provisional accreditation from the state in 2014.
