Job summary

Hampton County School District is seeking a licensed Teacher to deliver instruction and monitor student progress in alignment with district goals. The role reports to the Principal and requires collaboration with staff, parents, and administration to support student development.

Qualifications

• Education and experience as required by state certification authorities.
• Proficient in computers and word processing software; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates in developing a program of continuous progress aligned with District goals.
• Keeps abreast of changes in District policies and students' needs and interests.
• Establishes clear objectives for classroom activities and communicates them to students.
• Employs instructional methods and materials that meet stated objectives.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Analyzes student progress and seeks appropriate assistance when needed.
• Cooperates with staff in planning instructional goals and methods.
• Creates a learning-conducive classroom environment for pupils.
• Plans and supervises substitute teachers and evaluates their performance.
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy and law.
• Communicates with parents through oral or written notices and home visits.
• Provides availability to students and parents for education-related purposes.
