Job summary

Oak Hall School in Gainesville, FL seeks an exceptional leader to coach Middle School and Junior Varsity Volleyball, building on a tradition of championship success and helping young athletes develop skills as players and student-athletes.

Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, this Coach will contribute to and support building and maintaining a highly competitive program, mentor athletes, and model outstanding sportsmanship and respect for opponents and teams.

Qualifications

• Significant athletic and competitive volleyball experience.
• Experience coaching middle school or high school volleyball.
• Ability to communicate with and motivate athletes of varying skill levels.
• Afternoon and evening availability.

Oak Hall School is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as a Coach for our Middle School and Junior Varsity Volleyball program. Oak Hall has a long history of success in volleyball at a championship level, and we now have a need for a coach who desires to continue, and build upon, this tradition of success and work with our youngest players to help them develop their skills and grow as both volleyball players and student athletes.

Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics and the Head Volleyball Coach, this Coach will contribute to and support all aspects of building, growing and maintaining a highly competitive middle school volleyball program, by promoting a positive team environment that ensures high levels of growth and learning for all athletes. As an active and collaborative member of the Athletic Department, and the greater Oak Hall community, this Coach will serve as a mentor for their athletes, and model outstanding sportsmanship and respect for opposing competitors and teams.

Qualifications

Significant athletic and competitive experience in volleyball, and experience coaching middle school or high school level volleyball, is preferred. In addition to having a strong base of knowledge and passion for volleyball and for the student-athlete experience, the ideal candidate will also possess an understanding of the social/emotional needs of middle school and high school- aged athletes and be fluent in different ways to communicate with and motivate athletes of varying skill levels and abilities.

Previous playing or coaching experience, and afternoon and evening availability, are required.
