Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is seeking an Associate Principal at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Texas. The role oversees campus-wide administration, supervises assistants, faculty, and staff, and acts for the principal in their absence.

The candidate will provide instructional leadership, supervise curriculum and staff development, monitor student behavior, and coordinate master scheduling to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification is required.
• AEL/ILD/ILT certificate or equivalent must be obtained within 3 months of start date.
• Board Approved T-TESS Certification must be obtained within 3 months of start date.
• Minimum of 2 years campus-level administrative experience as an assistant principal or dean of instruction.
• Minimum of 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and data-driven plans to raise student achievement.
• Coordinate and implement the District curriculum across courses.
• Develop and monitor Campus Improvement Plan and related programs.
• Lead campus staff development and supervise staff performance.
• Monitor behavior and attendance; enforce discipline rules.
• Design and maintain the master schedule; step in for principal when needed.
• Plan and manage school facilities, budgets, and related projects.
• Foster strong school/community relations and effective communication.
• Supervise instructional and non-instructional staff; interview and develop personnel.
