Job summary

Menifee Central in Frenchburg, Kentucky is seeking a Middle School Academic Coach on a part-time basis. You will create and run a coaching program for the elementary academic team, plan sessions, and ensure equipment and safety policies are followed.

You will mentor fellow coaches and volunteers, attend fixtures, and participate in ongoing professional development to improve coaching delivery. A drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Create a positive learning environment where the children learn sportsmanship, fundamental skills, teamwork, and responsibility; organize practice and meets for the elementary academic team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To create and implement a high-quality coaching program, to maximize participation and performance of competitive teams;

• To undertake the necessary planning for each activity session to ensure the program demonstrates progression throughout;
• To ensure all equipment associated with the coaching program is correctly set up, maintained, stored and returned on completion of games and practices;

• To implement appropriate Health and Safety policies and procedures in line with the Menifee County School District policy and procedures;
• To provide appropriate mentoring, support and guidance to other coaches, players and student volunteers;

• To take responsibility for their own continuous professional development and attend relevant training courses to improve their coaching delivery (if offered).
