Job summary

WhiteTech, a remote-first fintech technology company, seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure top-tier quality for cutting-edge payment solutions. You will own QA across cross-functional teams, design comprehensive test strategies, and drive automated and manual testing across UI and API layers.

You will collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to define quality expectations, write reusable test cases, and improve testing coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manual and semi-automated testing of web-based applications.
• 2+ years of hands-on API testing, including auth, errors, and payload validation.
• Proven experience testing payment systems, transactional flows, and basic third‑party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own quality assurance within cross-functional product teams.
• Design and maintain test strategies: functional, UI, API, integration, exploratory testing.
• Drive pixel-perfect validation of web interfaces across devices, sizes, and browsers.
• Ensure full API test coverage using Postman, Swagger, and automation hooks.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and PMs to set quality expectations and shift testing left.
• Write structured test cases and detailed bug reports to accelerate delivery.
• Review and improve test documentation, coverage, and regression practices.
• Contribute to ongoing QA process improvements and tooling.

Your role and impact:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at WhiteTech you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our cutting-edge payment solutions. Your efforts in identifying, reporting, and tracking bugs, along with your active involvement in the entire software development lifecycle, will directly contribute to the reliability and performance of our products. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team to push the boundaries of what's possible in the fintech industry.

Your key responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of quality assurance within cross-functional product teams.
• Design and maintain comprehensive test strategies covering functional, UI, API, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Drive pixel-perfect validation of complex web interfaces across multiple devices, screen sizes, and browsers.
• Ensure full test coverage for API flows using tools like Postman, Swagger, and automation hooks if needed.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to define quality expectations and shift testing left.
• Write structured, reusable test cases and detailed bug reports that help the team move fast without sacrificing quality.
• Review and improve test documentation, coverage, and regression practices across releases.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and team workflows.

Requirements & skills:

• 3+ years of experience in manual and semi-automated testing of web-based applications.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with API testing, including auth flows, error handling, and payload validation
• Proven experience testing payment systems, transactional flows, and basic third‑party integrations.
• Experience with responsive design testing, browser dev tools, network analysis, and cross‑platform validation.
• Knowledge of Postman, Chrome DevTools, Swagger, and test management systems (e.g. TestRail, Xray).
• Understanding of frontend–backend architecture, including REST APIs, session handling, and data flows.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend consistency checks.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development processes.
• A strong "pixel-perfect" mindset and ability to quickly identify visual and behavioral UI issues.
• Proactive, analytical, and able to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership.
