Job summary

Dexian seeks an MBSCC Trade Assignments Specialist / MBS Allocator (AVP/VP) to ensure accurate and timely processing of Agency MBS TBA trades from trade date through settlement. The MBSCC Trade Assignments Specialist / MBS Allocator (AVP/VP level) is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of trade assignments related to Agency MBS TBA activities. This role involves ensuring that executed trades are correctly allocated and assigned for processing within the market operations from trade date through settlement. The position works closely with Trading, Sales, and Settlements/Operations teams to manage trade matching, affirmation, monitor exceptions, and resolve unmatched items, all while adhering to market cutoffs and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process MBSCC trade assignments for Agency MBS TBA trades, ensuring timely submission and precise assignment details aligned with desk instructions and market deadlines.
• Monitor MBSCC for trade affirmation and matching; resolve unmatched, DK, and un-compared items efficiently by coordinating with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
• Allocate Agency MBS TBA trades to appropriate accounts or strategies and maintain accurate TBA positions; monitor pool positions as needed.
• Support traders with trade entry and data capture; confirm trade economics and required identifiers to ensure trades are ready for processing.
• Collaborate with Trading and Sales teams to address trade inquiries, investigate issues, and develop resolution strategies.
• Assist in netting procedures across the settlement cycle; coordinate with Settlements on obligations and resolve exceptions impacting settlement.
• Process trade amendments, cancellations, and updates; reconcile front-office bookings with MBSCC status, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected.
• Track and communicate daily assignment and matching statuses via dashboards; elevate time‑sensitive risks that could impact settlement.
• Monitor FOBO reconciliation reports; resolve trade/position breaks and perform position and P&L support checks.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed to support operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 7+ years of experience in Agency MBS (TBA and specified pools) middle office, trade support, or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of the MBS trade lifecycle, including settlement conventions, allocations, pair‑offs, rolls, and fails/claims.
• Experience with netting procedures and exception management across fixed income products.
• Hands‑on experience with MBSCC trade assignments, including matching, affirmation, netting, and exception resolution.
• Working knowledge of MBSCC timing, cutoff schedules, and settlement controls.
• Proficiency with trade capture, allocation workflows, and reconciliations using systems such as ION, Bloomberg, MBSE, and Impact.
• Advanced Excel skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional experience working with FOBO reconciliation reports and resolving trade/position breaks.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under intraday deadlines.
• Strong systems aptitude across multiple platforms supporting trade processing and reconciliation.
• Experience supporting post‑trade activities in a fast‑paced environment.
