What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of trades executed by the trading desk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain effective risk management controls and monitor trading activities for adherence to risk limits
  • Conduct reconciliation of trade and position data between internal systems and external counterparties
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including reporting obligations and record-keeping requirements
  • Collaborate with the IT department to leverage technology solutions for enhancing middle and back-office operations
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor\'s Degree from a 4-year university in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in middle office, back office, or operations roles within a proprietary trading firm or financial institution
  • Proficiency in trade processing and settlement systems and reconciliation tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to proprietary trading activities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM)
  • Familiarity with technology solutions for middle and back-office operations, including trade capture and reporting tools
  • Proficiency in relational databases, with Microsoft SQL preferred
  • Python knowledge is a definite plus
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations professionally and handle multiple projects simultaneously
