Travelers is seeking an Account Executive for the Middle Market Business Center in Hartford to underwrite and renew coverage for assigned accounts. You will partner with agents and brokers to tailor solutions, assess risk, and drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three to five years of underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of Business Insurance products and the local market.
• Strong critical thinking to identify underwriting, marketing or financial challenges.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to support market penetration.
• Foster relationships with external partners to deliver underwriting experiences.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities through consultative marketing and sales.
• Support agency, region, and group sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
