Summary

Instructs students in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth, contributing to their development as responsible individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaches district-approved curriculum.
  • Creates a conducive learning environment suitable for students' maturity and interests.
  • Prepares for assigned classes.
  • Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Employs various instructional techniques and media tailored to student needs.
  • Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives.
  • Implements policies and rules governing student conduct, maintaining classroom order.
  • Assesses student progress regularly and provides reports.
  • Evaluates academic and social growth, maintaining records.
  • Encourages positive classroom behavior standards.
  • Diagnoses learning disabilities, consulting specialists as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
  • Available to students and parents outside instructional hours.
