Job summary

Amergis is seeking a General Education Teacher for travel assignments in the Chattanooga, TN area. You will support grades 6–12 with standards-based instruction, fostering an inclusive classroom and collaborating with staff and families to promote student success.

The role involves teaching core or elective subjects as needed, aligning with district curricula and state standards while adhering to FERPA and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching license required by state.
• Valid endorsement/certificate in assigned subject as required by state if applicable.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Core academic subjects or elective content areas, as required by state/district.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Ability to comply with student confidentiality (FERPA) and HIPAA requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
