Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a Midday General Maintenance Worker I to perform entry-level maintenance and repair duties supporting building operations at FLETC Charleston and Naval Weapons Station. You will assist with basic facility upkeep under supervision to keep structures safe, functional, and presentable.

The role requires basic maintenance skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to learn. DHS background adjudication, US citizenship or legal work status, and on-site availability are

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent experience in building maintenance or similar role.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and standard maintenance practices.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced maintenance staff.
• Ability to perform physical labor lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing basic maintenance tasks including minor repairs to fixtures, walls, doors and hardware.
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles and air filters as directed.
• Support maintenance team with tools, materials and project setup.
• Report observed facility issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and site procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Maintain organization of tools, equipment and supplies in assigned work areas.

Job Summary

Perform entry level maintenance and repair duties to support building operations at FLETC Charleston and Naval Weapons Station As LAUKOAs General Maintenance Worker I you will assist with basic facility upkeep and repair tasks under the supervision of senior maintenance personnel helping ensure buildings and infrastructure remain safe functional and presentable

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing basic maintenance tasks including minor repairs to fixtures walls doors and hardwarePerform routine cleaning and upkeep of mechanical rooms tool storage and service areas
• Replace light bulbs ceiling tiles and air filters as directed
• Support maintenance team with tools materials and project setup
• Report observed facility issues or safety hazards to supervisors
• Follow safety protocols and site procedures in accordance with PWS Section C 5B and OSHA standards
• Maintain organization of tools equipment and supplies in assigned work areas

Work Hours

Work Hours are 3pm 1100pm with availability to be on call outside of work hoursWork schedules are determined by management and may be modified at any time based on business needs contractual obligations and operational requirements
