LAUKOA is seeking a Midday General Maintenance Worker I to support facilities at Charleston, SC. You will perform entry-level maintenance and repairs, assist with building operations, and work under supervision to keep spaces safe, functional, and presentable.

The role requires physical labor, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic hand tools, and a readiness to learn from experienced staff. Work hours are 3pm–11pm with on-call availability.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 year of recent experience (within past 5 years) in building maintenance or similar support role.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and standard maintenance practices.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced maintenance staff.
• Ability to perform physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied environments.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Report observed facility issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and site procedures in accordance with PWS Section C-5.B and OSHA standards.
• Maintain organization of tools, equipment, and supplies in assigned work areas.

Job Title: Midday General Maintenance Worker I

Location: Charleston, SC

Salary: $22.54 per hour + $5.09 (H&W) per hour = $27.63 per hour (Salary may be negotiable and may be increased based on relevant experience and qualifications.)

Job Summary:

Perform entry-level maintenance and repair duties to support building operations at FLETC Charleston and Naval Weapons Station. As LAUKOA’s General Maintenance Worker I, you will assist with basic facility upkeep and repair tasks under the supervision of senior maintenance personnel, helping ensure buildings and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and presentable.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain a favorable adjudication via a DHS background investigation and maintain suitability clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
• This position may require the operation of Company-provided vehicles.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, maintaining a valid driver’s license in good standing is a condition of employment.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, employee must comply with all Company vehicle use and safety policies, as well as all applicable traffic laws.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, the Company may review your motor vehicle record (MVR), as permitted by law, to verify eligibility to operate Company vehicles.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, you must immediately notify the Company if your driver’s license is suspended, revoked, restricted, expires, or if your driving privileges otherwise change.
• Work Hours are 3pm – 1100pm with availability to be on-call outside of work hours
• Work schedules are determined by management and may be modified at any time based on business needs, contractual obligations, and operational requirements.
