Job summary

Auto Systems Centers in Newton, NJ is seeking an Automotive Lead Technician to join our state-of-the-art service and tire center. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform brakes, suspension, oil changes, inspections, and tire service as part of a fast-paced team.

Experience with ASE credentials is a plus. We offer competitive weekly pay with bonus potential up to $150K, a 5-day work week, 401(k) with match, health/dental/vision, PTO, ASE support, and an employee tool purchase program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive repair experience or relevant education
• Valid driver's license required; ASE certification is a bonus
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

What you'll do

As a leader in undercar repairs, you will be trusted to:

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive mechanical services including brakes, struts, shocks, and routine maintenance.
• Complete state‑mandated inspections and change oil/filters.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Check fluids and replace worn automotive parts.

What we're looking for

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience/training in automotive repair, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Credentials: A valid driver's license is required; ASE Certification is a major bonus.
• Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move items weighing over 50 pounds.
