Job summary

Auto Systems Centers in Flint, MI is hiring an Automotive Lead Technician to join a high-volume service center within the Mavis Tire family. The role focuses on undercar repairs, diagnostics, and tire-related services in a fast-paced shop environment.

We offer a competitive base pay with substantial weekly bonus potential, a 5-day work week, and benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision, life insurance, and paid time off. ASE certification support and internal promotions are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent training.
• Valid driver’s license required; ASE Certification a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift/move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Must value dependability, teamwork and quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform automotive repairs including brakes, suspensions and routine maintenance.
• Complete state inspections and oil/filters changes.
• Dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires.
• Check fluids and replace worn parts as needed.

What You'll Do

As a leader in undercar repairs, you will be trusted to:

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive mechanical services including brakes, struts, shocks, and routine maintenance.
• Complete state-mandated inspections and change oil/filters.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Check fluids and replace worn automotive parts.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience/training in automotive repair, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Credentials: A valid driver's license is required; ASE Certification is a major bonus.
• Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
