We have three simple goals: to do the most interesting and challenging work, to have fun working together, and to build a successful business in the process.

This position is based on site in Richmond, VA, with the requirement to ideally be on site 5 days a week, which may vary based on client need.

Unlock Your Potential: Qualifications for Success
  • 4+ years of experience in construction project management with a thorough understanding of the building design and construction process.
  • Bachelor's, Associate's, or equivalent experience in a construction-related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience managing critical environment projects (data centers, labs, hospitals, etc.)
  • MEP experience in ground-up construction
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ambitious construction and project management focus, seeking a modern and energetic business that will empower your career growth.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll love it)
  • The MGAC Critical Environments team specializes in construction management for building data centers and hospitals, ensuring project success through industry expertise.
  • As owner’s representatives, we explain complex issues, manage conflicts, and advise on outside-the-owner’s-sphere matters, helping owners make informed decisions to keep projects on track.
  • As a Project Manager at MGAC, you will lead high-visibility, resume-building projects.
  • You’ll be an integral part of the team, mentoring, leading, and managing schedule, scope, and budget.
  • Our East Coast project work is expanding, supported by a strong portfolio and a healthy, growing pipeline.
  • Independently manage full project scope and components of other projects.
  • Work autonomously and be self-sufficient in project execution.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and identify additional services.
  • Maintain alignment with the client’s vision as a trusted partner.
  • Lead project risk management, contingency, schedule, and budget recovery planning.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and needs assessments.
  • Build collaborative relationships with clients, A&E professionals, contractors, vendors, and teams.
  • Anticipate risks, solve complex challenges and conflicts.
Why work with us?
  • With over 28 years of history in North America and longer in the UK, we are at an exciting growth stage. Our energy and momentum are palpable, and our supportive, welcoming culture is evident.
  • We are recognized as a Top Workplace, with a strong employee-first culture. We can share numerous examples of this culture in action.
  • Founded on an entrepreneurial spirit, we encourage new ideas and innovative approaches to exceed client expectations.
  • As a global yet nimble company, we provide a level of personalized care that larger competitors often cannot match.
  • Your voice will be heard, your ideas valued, and your efforts recognized. Our flat hierarchy ensures open communication with leadership, and your contributions are appreciated in reviews and appraisals.
  • We promote wellness and work/life balance, offering PTO, cutting-edge benefits, and mental health support services.
  • And we’re fun! Deep belly laughter is a common sound in our hallways.
