What You'll Do: Innovate & Build: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible. You'll work on rapid prototyping and technology deployment that addresses the Marine Corps' most urgent needs. Collaborate & Create: Partner with a dynamic team of engineers, project managers, and end-users. Your role will be crucial in defining requirements and delivering top-notch solutions. Code with Excellence: Utilize Java and JavaScript to craft high-performance applications. Your coding expertise will be essential in developing efficient and scalable systems. Optimize & Solve: Implement algorithms and data structures that ensure our software stands up to the highest standards of performance and reliability. Review & Improve: Participate in code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and adhere to best practices. Your commitment to quality will help us stay ahead of the curve. Troubleshoot & Innovate: Debug issues and provide timely resolutions. Your proactive approach will keep our solutions running smoothly. Document & Evolve: Keep comprehensive records of development processes and code changes. Stay abreast of the latest technologies to continuously enhance our capabilities. What We're Looking For: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance, or eligible to obtain one. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 7+ years in software development (10+ preferred), with proficiency in Java and JavaScript. Skills: Strong grasp of Agile and DevOps methodologies, experience with Git (for revision control) and Issue tracking systems (such as GitLab and Jira), and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. Traits: An independent and collaborative spirit, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Bonus Points: Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift/OKD. Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies/products. Experience with CI/CD concepts (pipelines, automated testing, etc.). Experience with Linux (RedHat experience preferred). Familiarity with cybersecurity principles.
