Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking experienced Residential Insurance Inspectors to visit property owners in your region to conduct interior insurance inspections and high‑value dwelling assessments. A minimum of two years of comparable experience is required.

This is a contract position (1099). You will be an independent contractor providing professional services to Signature Companies. Reports are submitted online and paid monthly.

Qualifications

• Prior underwriting experience preferred.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes.
• Loss control experience preferred.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Computer competencies in Windows and Internet environment required.
• Late‑model car.

Responsibilities

• Visit properties, take photos and measurements, and note issues.
• Complete and submit your report online; the report is quality‑checked before being forwarded to underwriting staff.
• Write the report from home, ensuring all inspections are finished within 21 days, while arranging your own schedule.
• Drive to and conduct the survey; determine an accurate replacement cost of the home; document unique features.
• Identify underwriting concerns and make recommendations on how to prevent future loss.

As an inspector, you will:

• Write the report from home, ensuring all inspections are finished within 21 days, while arranging your own schedule.

To qualify, you must have reliable transportation, a digital camera, high‑speed internet access, and proficiency with Microsoft products. You should also possess a measuring wheel or similar device and be able to produce high‑quality work quickly. Good organization skills are essential. A background investigation, including a criminal record check and possibly a drug screen, will be required if you are selected.
