Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing systems administration support including Windows installation, customization, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Evaluates OS versions, drivers and libraries and integrates them.
• Handles incident tickets, compliance responsibilities, testing, and SOP improvements.
• Monitors and tunes systems for optimum performance in standalone and multi-tier environments.
• Implements system security and disaster recovery procedures.

Summary:

• Provides ongoing systems administration support including installation, customization, maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows systems.
• Provides support to address the availability and reliability issues on Windows systems across multiple locations.
• Evaluates and integrates new operating system versions, drivers and libraries.
• Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance responsibilities, system run enhancement testing and staging, policy / procedure enhancements and adherence, client contact coordination and operational recommendations.
• Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels in standalone and multi-tiered environments.
• Implements appropriate levels of system security. Prescribes system backup / disaster recovery procedures and directs recovery operations in the event of destruction of all or part of the operating system or other system components.
• Ensure 24x7 after-hour support.

Minimum Years of Experience and Certifications:

• 2-4 years of experience.
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Physical Science, or other technology.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience installing, configuring, optimizing and hardening Windows servers.
• Experience configuring network interfaces and OS-level firewalls.
• Experience configuring and managing server backups using backup tools.
• Experience developing SOP implementation guides.
• Experience developing PowerShell scripts to automate and standardize system administration functions.
• Experience planning and executing major OS upgrades and patch installations.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technology.
