Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Security Specialist to support the USCENTCOM Joint Center’s J2 Directorate through the SSO. The role focuses on safeguarding information, personnel, and physical security across CENTCOM operations.

You will train personnel in security procedures and help maintain policy publications while coordinating courier operations. Top candidates will have TS/SCI with Poly and at least five years of related security experience, including working with JPAS or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related security experience or an Associate’s degree with related DoDSSO experience.
• Experience with JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent Personnel Security Systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to support USCENTCOM SSO in managing Information, Personnel, and Physical Security Programs.
• Brief and train command security practices through SETA indoctrinations.
• Update local security publications per DoD/DIA guidance.
• Maintain the SSO webpage and contribute to CENTCOM history reports.
• Draft feedback for the Command Inspection Program and coordinate Courier Authorization.

Job description

This position with Amentum isto support the United States Central Command J2Directoratethrough theSSO. Yoursecurityexpertisewill be vital to theoperations and security of the command. You willwitnessthe impact of yourwork through thecompletion of contractual deliverables to the customer. Work Schedule: 8 hour day shift

Essential Responsibilities

• The employee shall provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to provide support to the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO) in managing the Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs.
• The employee shall brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA).
• The employee shall update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance.
• The employee shall provide input into CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage.
• The employee shall inspect and draft written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program.
• The employee shall coordinate, track, document, brief, train and issue courier authorization in support of the Courier Authorization Program.
• The employee shall coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery and pickup of classified material and provide SME guidance for forward deployed units.

Office Minimum Requirements: Minimum5 years of related security experience or Associate’s degree with experience working at a COCOM, or deployed SSO with two of the following: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD), experience with wireless security and a strong Physical Security background and experience using AMAG and DS CCTVB; OR Expertise using JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent Personnel Security System, SETA program.

Security Clearance Required

TS/SCI w/ Poly Minimum Years of Experience: 5

Compensation Details

$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
