Job summary

Upper Arlington City Schools is seeking a Custodian - Mid Shift at Tremont building. The role covers cleaning, basic maintenance, and event setup during a full-time, 12-month schedule. Hourly pay ranges from $23.32 to $25.88, with a 120-day probation and non-exempt status.

Work hours are 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in Tremont Elementary. Reports to the Executive Director of Operations and requires teamwork, safety awareness, and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related custodial experience preferred.
• Any appropriate alternatives as determined by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of students and staff.
• Perform cleaning tasks (vacuum, mop, dust, wax) and basic maintenance.
• Assist with setup/teardown for events and daily operations.
• Follow chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Log maintenance and report damaged fixtures to administration.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate clearly.
