Job summary

KLN Family Brands, a Perham-based producer of human and pet foods, seeks an Assistant Production Supervisor Mid Shift B1. This role leads production staff, ensures schedules, and trains workers on work instructions.

Key duties include enforcing policies, maintaining equipment, coordinating maintenance, and supporting shift transfers. Must wear multiple hats and uphold the company values in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Self-motivation and ability to lead in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good judgement and reasoning abilities for decision making on the floor.
• Strong communication and people skills to train and guide staff.
• Ability to drive forklift and pass related certification.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance to production staff to foster continuous improvements and best practices.
• Works with Production Supervisor to establish and deploy standard works for all associates.
• Ensures production schedule is met, lines run at target rates, and waste/downtime is reduced.
• Understand and troubleshoot equipment, maintain lines, and coordinate shift maintenance.
• Transfer information between shifts, cover vacations, and perform other duties as assigned.
