Justice Cannabis in Ewing, NJ is seeking a Mid-Shift Facilities Technician to keep our cultivation and dispensary facilities running smoothly. The role supports building upkeep, equipment maintenance, and general cleanliness, with a focus on reliability and a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree with 3–4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination, and hands-on maintenance knowledge across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Mid-Shift Facilities Technician
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (may be subject to change based on operational needs)
Location: Ewing, NJ
The Facilities Technician plays a hands-on role in keeping our cannabis cultivation and dispensary facilities running at their best. This position supports the upkeep of the building and equipment by handling a variety of tasks, including janitorial duties, light repairs, and general maintenance. From patching and painting walls to changing light bulbs and troubleshooting small issues, the Facilities Technician helps ensure our spaces remain clean, safe, and functional. While some maintenance knowledge is helpful, you don’t need to be an expert — we’re looking for someone reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.

What You'll Do:
Customer & Team Relations
Build and maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and visitors through clear communication and a customer-service mindset.
Communicate inspection and service findings with Facilities Maintenance, Project Managers, and Grow House leadership.
Contribute to a positive workplace by treating others with dignity and respect and fostering curiosity for everything cannabis.
General Facilities Maintenance
Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests.
Complete light carpentry and repair tasks, including adjusting or replacing doors, cabinets, furniture, partitions, windows, and wall protection.
Patch and paint walls; replace damaged ceilings, flooring, cove base, and ceramic tiles.
Handle minor plumbing repairs such as replacing faucet washers and toilet seats.
Perform electrical tasks including changing bulbs, fixtures, switches, ballasts, receptacles, and resetting circuit breakers.
Support minor HVAC, masonry, roofing, and blacktop repairs as needed.
Move, assemble, and install free-standing and wall-hung equipment.
Work Orders & Emergency Response
Complete daily work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
Respond promptly to urgent and emergency issues such as clogs, leaks, power outages, or unsafe conditions.
Escalate work orders to specialized trades when necessary.
Grounds & Safety
Assist with snow removal, de-icing, and upkeep of outdoor areas to ensure safe access.
Tour buildings and grounds regularly to identify and document deficiencies.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, FDA, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and safety procedures.
Report all facility safety or security concerns to management.
Janitorial & General Support
Perform routine cleaning of facility spaces, equipment, and tools as needed.
Restock supplies and support overall upkeep to maintain a clean and professional environment.
Participate in special projects or additional tasks assigned to support company goals.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree plus 3-4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Proven experience as a Maintenance or Facilities Technician, with a focus on building and equipment upkeep.
Hands-on knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
Familiarity with HVAC, pumps, motors, and other building systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical repair skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance for facility operations.
Problem-solving skills and a commitment to preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once and prioritize work effectively.

The noise level in the work environment is normal. The employee is frequently exposed to an environment of natural chemical fume, herbal aromas, airborne particles, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Employee will have moderate exposure to conditions such as dust and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or the skin, depending on department job assignments. Personal Protective Equipment is provided for employees to utilize and should be worn.
