Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our mobile plant operations. You will operate excavators to load raw materials, perform routine checks, and help with plant setup, relocation, and breakdown while maintaining safe production flow.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience with excavators or similar heavy machinery, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently or with teammates across shifting locations.

Qualifications

• Skilled in operating excavators and heavy equipment in a production setting.
• Strong commitment to safety and situational awareness.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mobile plant environment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Flexibility to work mid-shift hours and adapt to changing work locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators to load raw materials into portable crushing equipment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with plant setup, relocation, and breakdown as needed.
• Communicate with team members to maintain efficient material flow.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures on site; Mid Shift Hours: 11am - 9pm
