Job summary

AdventHealth Denver is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support nursing services in a fast-paced acute care setting. You will perform treatments, assist in patient care under RN direction, and participate in performance improvement to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications include High School grad, BLS and EMT certifications, and 1+ PCT experience preferred. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and continuous learning in a full-time day shift.

• Previous bedside patient care in acute care or related roles (Preferred)

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.

• Participates in performance improvement activities and supports quality standards.
• Follows isolation guidelines and uses protective equipment appropriately; enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivering patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.

• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]
