Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Mid to Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Las Vegas, NV team. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and perform technical work as a Seller-Doer, coordinating building and fire code reviews and developing protective strategies.

You will prepare design reports, interact with project teams, and contribute to building code interpretations and alternatives, with a strong emphasis on delivering high‑quality, practical solutions for complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (preferably Fire Protection), Architecture, or related field.
• Four (4) years of professional Fire Protection Consulting experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or NICET Level IV preferred.
• Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Experience with building code concepts and plan reviews.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement a wide variety of consulting projects.
• Satisfy client needs and expectations by completing tasks on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses, including plan reviews and site visits.
• Prepare and peer review project-related technical reports.
• Develop fire protection strategies, performance-based design approaches, and alternative solutions.
• Effectively communicate with project team members, clients, and others.
