Job summary

Jensen Hughes has a new job opportunity for a Fire Protection Engineer to work on our ongoing project in Phoenix, AZ. We are seeking an experienced Engineer or Consultant to handle building code consulting, fire protection systems, and strategic fire protection planning.

The successful applicant will have a well-rounded background in fire protection and code consulting, with strong analytical and creative thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in building code consulting and developing performance-based strategies.
• Review building plans and coordinate with design teams.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems and codes.
• Ability to work with jurisdiction authorities.
• 5+ years in code consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire and life safety code consulting tasks related to facilities
• Assist with development of alternate methods of design and/or code modification submittals
• Assist with hazardous materials consulting activities
• Assist with fire and life safety system inspection and testing activities
• Coordinate with design teams and authorities having jurisdiction
• Contribute to complex, high-impact project delivery
• 5+ years of experience in code consulting preferred
• Experience in developing building code concepts and reviews
