Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Databricks (PySpark) experience.
• 5+ years of experience with visualization tools, including Databricks native tools and Power BI.
• Experience creating data pipelines, APIs, and working with structured and unstructured data sources; government experience noted.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and actionable insights.
• Use Python to clean, validate, transform, integrate, and analyze data.
• Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, data models, DAX calculations, and reporting solutions.
• Work with Databricks, data pipelines, APIs, and structured and unstructured data sources.
• Automate data preparation and reporting processes using tools such as Power Automate.
• Translate ambiguous business needs into well-defined analytical approaches and solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Apply sound practices for data quality, documentation, governance, and version control.

This role goes beyond traditional reporting and dashboard development, combining advanced analytics, data preparation, integration, visualization, and automation.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical data skills and the ability to take ambiguous or loosely defined business questions, determine what data and analysis are needed, and translate the results into a clear, compelling story that technical and nontechnical stakeholders can understand and act on.
