In your role, you'll focus on…

As part of our growing team, we need innovative and passionate Middle Backend Software Development Engineers to develop product features and collaborate across design, product, and engineering teams. You will own writing automated tests for your code and work with technologies like Ruby on Rails and ReactJS. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse products and features.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend components of web applications using Ruby (80%) and ReactJS (20%)
• Collaborate with the product team to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to the technical strategy and delivery within your squad, participating in scrum ceremonies
• Ensure high-quality code through testing and code reviews
• Share knowledge and mentor Junior Developers in your squad
• Work with highly skilled Software Development Engineers in a supportive, high-performing environment
• Engage in complex and technically challenging projects
• Enhance legacy features of our award-winning HR tech platform

Your skills and experience

You’re the hero we’re looking for if:

• Have over 3 years of software development experience, focusing on server-side and RESTful API development
• Proficient in OOP languages such as NodeJS, Java, Go, PHP, etc., with willingness to learn Ruby
• Experience with full-stack web technologies
• Strong OOP skills
• Understanding of software engineering processes, testing, and Agile methodologies
• Team-oriented with an adaptable approach
• Passionate about learning, sharing knowledge, and constructive feedback
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal

Nice to have, but not essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Experience developing modular mobile applications and performance tuning
• Experience translating design wireframes into UI components
• Familiarity with functional programming
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, Kubernetes, etc.
