Job description

Abnormal Security is seeking a highly motivated sales leader to join our Sales organization as a Sales Manager for the Mid-Market Sales Team. This leader will be responsible for team development—including recruitment, hiring, enablement, and management—as well as driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets within their Region. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the value Abnormal provides to customers and conduct themselves with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

What you will do
  1. Recruit and hire a world-class team of sellers, on time and on budget.
  2. Manage and enable sellers to meet productivity metrics and growth milestones.
  3. Implement a disciplined pipeline generation approach, leveraging all available resources including sales, marketing, channel partners, and sales development.
  4. Develop an account strategy for the region to ensure strong execution and collaborative team selling.
  5. Partner with Sales Engineering for product demonstrations and proof-of-concept programs.
  6. Build strong relationships with existing customers focusing on value realization, retention, upselling, and referrals.
  7. Forecast monthly and quarterly revenue accurately to leadership using disciplined deal inspection and forecasting methods.
  8. Develop strategic relationships with existing and new channel partners.
Must Haves
  1. At least 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record in exceeding quotas in security, networking, or software solutions.
  2. Minimum of 3+ years leading a sales team focused on acquiring new business and logos.
  3. Strong hunter mentality with experience managing teams responsible for creating demand and sourcing pipeline.
  4. Accountability for consistent over-achievement and success in closing complex sales of $50K+ and above $100K+.
  5. Ability to establish and foster relationships at executive levels with partners and customers.
  6. Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of translating technical features into business value.
  7. Experience with consultative, value-based sales methodologies (e.g., Force Management, Challenger Sale) is a plus.
  8. Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  9. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information

Role includes eligibility for bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. Compensation depends on skills, experience, and qualifications. The base salary range is $120,000 — $150,000 USD.
