Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist (Category Buyer) to provide tactical procurement support, linking category plans to execution. You will manage mid-complexity sourcing events, assist with contract negotiations, and coordinate supplier interactions to ensure compliant, cost-effective outcomes.

Role requires 2–3 years in procurement, familiarity with RFx processes, and experience with ERP systems like PeopleSoft and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or category management.
• Experience leading RFx events and negotiating contracts for mid-complexity categories.
• Proficiency with procurement/ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SharePoint, eRecords).

Responsibilities

• Execute RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs aligned with category strategies.
• Develop bid packages, evaluate supplier responses, and manage evaluation processes.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for mid-complexity categories.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Monitor contract expirations and ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Serve as primary supplier contact on tactical topics and issue resolution.
• Support supplier onboarding and governance compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements and timelines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
