You’ll bridge design and engineering, turning complex workflows into clean, accessible interfaces while collaborating with backend engineers, product owners, and analysts to support usability and adoption. You’ll design intuitive interfaces, translate workflows into efficient experiences, and build front-end components with React/Angular, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field (or Master’s degree).
• Experience: 4–8 years with a Bachelor’s, or 2–6 years with a Master’s.
• Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience.
• Experience with React and Angular.
• Ability to design user-centered interfaces for complex applications.
• Understanding of UX, usability, and interaction design.
• Experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass Polygraph.

Embedded Alliance is seeking a mid-level UI/UX Developer to design and build user interfaces for mission-critical GEOINT applications in Gaithersburg, MD (onsite). In this role, you will bridge design and engineering to turn complex workflows into interfaces that are clean, efficient, and accessible, while working closely with backend engineers, product owners, and analysts to support usability and adoption.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web-based applications
• Translate complex workflows into simple, efficient user experiences that improve usability and adoption
• Build and maintain front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
• Ensure applications align with usability standards and accessibility best practices
• Contribute to consistent design patterns, components, and style guides
• Collect and apply user feedback to continuously improve interface design and functionality
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to align UI/UX with system capabilities
• Improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and scalability

What you’ll bring

• US citizenship required per contract
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or Master’s degree)
• Experience range: 4–8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2–6 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree
• Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with modern UI frameworks, including React and Angular
• Demonstrated ability to design user-centered interfaces for complex applications
• Understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design
• Experience working in Linux-based environments
• Ability to translate user needs into functional design solutions
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination
