Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking a mid-level to senior Asset Management Associate to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in fund formation, specifically in private equity funds and/or fund of funds work. The role involves representing private equity firms, pooled investment vehicles, investors, and distributors, providing comprehensive legal services in asset management.

Duties:
  • Represent clients in fund formation processes.
  • Advise on formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance of private equity funds.
  • Draft fund documents, negotiate fund terms, and handle investor relations.
  • Assist with regulatory and tax compliance issues.
  • Support capital raising efforts and prepare offering materials.
  • Advise on governance, risk management, and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain client relationships with strategic legal advice.
  • Collaborate with legal teams on asset management matters.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments.
Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of experience in fund formation, private equity funds, or fund of funds.
  • Strong understanding of investment fund structures and regulations.
  • Experience advising on fund formation and compliance.
  • Excellent drafting skills for legal documents.

Education & Certifications:
