Job summary

i3 Integration Innovation, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer/Analyst to join a seasoned team supporting real-time HWIL testing of a tactical missile defense system in Huntsville, AL.

You will work with HWIL hardware/software and digital representations of complex systems to assess performance and reliability. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s in engineering with 5+ years of experience, US citizenship, and an active secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Direct operational or test experience with Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS).
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal/data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
• Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex system behaviors to diverse audiences.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• Must have an active secret clearance.

i3 is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer/Analyst to join a well-established team in an AVMC lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software and hardware, and digital representations of complex missile defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Common tasks for this position include analysis tool design and development, and complex analysis on missile defense system and/or algorithm performance.
• The selected candidate will develop and maintain test cases to support software integration and system integration.
• The selected candidate may support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling and simulation (MandS), post-flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
• Apply practical engineering knowledge across a broad range of established system engineering principles, concepts, and methods.
• Analyze and document results of test cases in software and hardware test report documentation.
• Develop system requirements to support system functionality.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Direct operational or test experience with Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is required.
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
• Must have the ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.

Preferred

• Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
• Experience in real-time analysis using Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD).
• Experience in C, C++, Linux/Unix operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
