Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer - Splunk Administrator to support a critical national security program in the Annapolis area. The role combines hands-on Splunk engineering with cyber defense, monitoring, incident response, and risk assessment across enterprise environments.

You will work with government and contractor teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable systems while developing solutions that strengthen enterprise security monitoring and mission effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Fourteen (14) years' experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Demonstrated experience with Splunk and planning and leading systems with active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Administer, modernize, and secure enterprise Splunk infrastructure and cybersecurity toolsets.
• Perform cyber defense, continuous monitoring, incident response, vulnerability and risk assessment, security architecture, and systems integration.
• Collaborate with government and contractor teams to ensure systems are secure, compliant, reliable, and scalable.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.


• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.


• Fourteen (14) years' experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.


• Demonstrated experience with Splunk and in planning and leading SystemsActive TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required

Highly Desired

• Certification – Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or other advanced certification


• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
