Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Mid-level Systems Engineer to support the BI&A software development team, tackling complex system requirements and interface control across multiple teams. This role includes end-to-end development environments and formal coordination of integration activities.

The candidate should possess TS/SCI clearance, Agile experience, and a strong background in system engineering concepts, architectures, and documentation. Hybrid onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with interface control documents and system integration.

Systems Engineer - Mid-level
Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the software development team that provides application development and support to a tool that provides disseminatable data to be conveyed at the absolute first point of relevance allowing mission analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment.

  • Appling system engineering principles in the development of system requirements, functional requirements and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
System Engineer Duties Include:
  • Derive an understanding of system requirements from stakeholder needs

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a systems engineer in medium-scale (20-100 people) or larger programs or contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing specific components of complex software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting system requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and perform technical assessments
  • Reviewing and/or approving system engineering documentation ensuring that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete
  • Developing system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
  • Managing and ensuring the technical integrity of the system baseline, continually updating as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations & maintenance
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience as an Agile SCRUM Master
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience generating technical documentation
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
Telework/Remote Availability:

Hybrid work (minimum 3 days onsite); up to 16 hours of telework authorized

Summary Pay Range:
