Job summary

LJB Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer to analyze, design, plan, and fabricate structural components for diverse buildings.

You will prepare construction documents and coordinate with design staff to ensure accurate drawing production and project delivery per client guidelines. The role offers growth toward project management, mentoring for junior engineers, and exposure to tilt-up, steel detailing, and large-scale projects across North America.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' engineering experience in reinforced concrete and/or steel vertical structural projects (commercial/industrial/institutional)
• Bachelor's degree in civil/architectural engineering with structural emphasis
• Experience preparing construction documents, drawings, reports, and supporting documentation

Responsibilities

• Independently completes structural calculations for superstructures, foundations, and floor slabs
• Prepares construction documents for vertical structures
• Coordinates with design staff for accurate drawings and documents
• Mentors new engineers on engineering processes
• Occasional site visits and travel may be required
