Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is in need of a Mid Level Software Developer to support our software and research based consulting client. This developer will be responsible for development, maintenance, and testing of microservices built on the MEAN stack. The Developer is responsible for development, maintenance and testing of application logic for our client's development projects. This developer may be required to develop software components, specifications and design documents. While the position is based in Chantilly, VA, the majority of the work will be done remotely. There is preference for the candidate to be located in the DC Metro area but all are welcome to apply regardless of location.

Requirements Include:

• Design, develop, maintain, test, and document high quality software
• Solve complex technical challenges
• Learn and apply new technologies on a regular basis
• Manage and maintain corporate software libraries
• Review defects and problems as assigned, diagnose and fix them in a timely manner
• Consult with all departments regarding application design and usage
• Communicate complex technical issues at different levels
• Provide technical mentoring to peers
• Must be able to work in a team and individually, demonstrate effective verbal and written communication, learn quickly, solve problems and be professional

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing web-based solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with the MEAN stack
• Experience developing RESTful webservices
• *Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Compensation Includes:

• $92,000 - $130,000 *depending on experience*
• Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by Law, Paid Holidays, etc.
